LI is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Liechtenstein. The .li TLD was created in 1993. The domain is sponsored and operated by the University of Liechtenstein in Vaduz. .li domain name registrations are administered by SWITCH, the administrator of the Swiss .ch ccTLD. SWITCH is a Swiss foundation that manages the ccTLDs .ch and .li for Switzerland and Liechtenstein, respectively. As the Swiss national research and education network, SWITCH also manages educational networks between Swiss universities and research centers, as well as links to other (non-Swiss) university networks. To date, more than 65,000 names have been registered in the LI domain.

You can buy an LI domain for up to 1 year. An LI domain renewal order must be submitted no later than 5 days prior to the expiration date. If this is not done, the domain will be automatically deleted and the status will change to redemptionPeriod. It is possible to restore an LI domain from redemptionPeriod, the price of restoration is 100 euros (1 year extension included).
