ICANN Board of Directors at its meeting on February 28 approved the request for delegation to Ukraine Cyrillic top-level domain .УКР.
The final step before the advent of the Internet root servers corresponding record of the domain .УКР should precede the approval of the Board of Directors of ICANN by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Domain .УКР delegated Ukrainian Network Information Center (USITS) to be its administrator. According to USITS, in the next few months can be expected early registrations of domain names in Ukrainian and Russian in the domain .УКР, adoption of new rules for registration of domain names.
