From July 1, for domains kyiv.ua / kiev.ua, cherkasy.ua / cherkassy.ua, chernihiv.ua / chernigov.ua, chernivtsi.ua / chernovtsy.ua, kropyvnytskyi.ua / kirovograd.ua, rivne .ua / rovno.ua new conditions of “mirroring” will apply.
Using the example of kyiv.ua / kiev.ua, we will describe the upcoming changes:
- As now, only the owner of the domain of the same name in kiev.ua can register kyiv.ua.
- For "mirror" domains in the registry, one registrant contact identifier (contact-id) will be used - different contact-id, even with identical content, it will be impossible to set.
- Pair transfer: when transferring a domain in the kyiv.ua zone, the registrant will have to start the same transfer in kiev.ua. That is, you will need to receive two transfer codes from the old registrar and pay two orders for the transfer of two domains from the new registrar. If you start only one transfer, after 5 days, it will be automatically canceled by the registry.
- Pair operation of changing registrant - if the contact-id for one domain is changed, the registrar will have to apply the same contact-id for the second domain.
The only exceptions are "mirror" domains that are already registered and have different registrants - they will work that way, but registrars will have to specify different contact-ids for them.
