Company Center for Internet Names Ukraine received block IPv6 addresses

05.02.2013
Dear customers!

Center for Internet names Ukraine (Ukrnames) has received a block of IPv6 addresses and begins to support the implementation of these addresses for service of the company.

IPv6 is - a new version of the protocol IP, designed to replace the current protocol IPv4.
As you know, last year the RIPE (Regional Internet Registry performs distribution of Internet resources) stopped issuing and registration of IPv4 due to their exhaustion. Day by day the number of available IPv4 addresses from providers is reduced, which leads to higher prices and forced savings.

Currently, IPv6 is already being used in thousands of networks around the world (more than 9000 networks in May 2012).

Using IPv6 has a number of advantages both from the technical side and from the user:
- Ability to auto-configuration of IP addresses.
- Simplify routing.
- Easing (simplification) of the packet header.
- Quality of Service (QoS).
- Having the ability to cryptographic protocol datagrams at the protocol level.
- Increased security of data transmission.
- Solving the problem of the exhaustion of addresses

The transition to IPv6 is inevitable, and the use of new technologies will be an additional advantage to any web project.
